When I first started this blog I definitely intended to try and post a lot more frequently. But as I've found, my time to write has been very limited. I'm about a week and a half behind on blog posts so I'll try and put in as much as I can to get up to speed!
Two weekends ago we went on a weekend trip to Verona and Lake Garda. And while visiting the home of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet was interesting, Lake Garda definitely beat out Verona. Texas doesn't exactly have the prettiest lakes...like at all, so when I saw the beautiful water I was happily surprised! After such a crazy week, it was really nice to just layout by the water and relax for a couple of hours.

After Lake Garda we returned to Florence, somewhat well rested after the weekend. We once again made the trek up to the Piazzale Michelangelo, and I am pleased to say that this time we actually were able to see the sunset!! I think I could up there time and again and never get tired of the view. A "mini" photo shoot and a couple bottles of wine later, we finally forced ourselves to leave the gorgeous view.

The next day we climbed up the Duomo AND the bell tower. Basically the most exhausting day of my life. In total I climbed around 900+ stairs, but the view was well worth it! You really get a great view of the entire city of Florence. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who goes to Florence! After the climb, I treated myself to gelato. And let me tell ya, it might be some of the best gelato I've ever had! Vanilla and raspberry were my favorite and I could probably have that every single day and never get tired of it.

That weekend we went to the Amalfi Coast which was so amazing that it deserves its own post, so stay tuned! I can't believe that my study abroad is officially over as of today. These past weeks have been some of the most amazing weeks of my life. All the people that I've met have been so great and it's so hard to say goodbye! But luckily, I still have a week left in Europe! To kick off the last week, in a couple of hours I will be flying to Barcelona, Spain!!! Finally a country where I actually understand the language!! I'll make sure to post about my last week in Florence as well as the Amalfi Coast ASAP!
